HOW TO VOLUNTEER

Picture
CCMP volunteer Magatte Ayinde (center front) leads volunteers in a follow-up session at St. Jarlath Catholic Church, East Oakland.
Participation in CCMP is open to all who desire to see a deprived segment of the population gain access to comprehensive health care.

No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and uphold CCMP principles and policies during all CCMP activities.

New volunteers attend an activity or a day of activities, preceded by an orientation. Sign up to participate in medical advocacy, home visits to benefit recipients, publications production and mail-outs, preparing for the next medical/dental/optical session or joining community outreach activities.

CCMP teaches organizing skills through an “on-the-job” training method, in which certified volunteers pass on their skills to new volunteers. CCMP offers educational classes to interested volunteers on the current state of health care, its dynamic organizing method and much more!

Volunteers are always welcome and needed daily! Please call CCMP at (510) 436-8020 and ask to schedule your first volunteer activity.
